“The Keeper of Lost Causes”

A novel by Jussi Adler-Olsen.

The keeper of lost causes is the first installment in Jussi's series about Police Department Q. And it's really scary. Especially, if you don't like small spaces (just saying).

Carl Mørck is the main character. He's the typical police man for these kinds of books: used to be one of the best, but fallen from grace. And now he's been "promoted" to lead Dept. Q where cold cases come to rest. While his colleagues laugh behind his back, Carl is if nothing else like a dog with a bone, and something about an old case keeps nagging him.

Even though it's been years since I first read this book, I remember I wasn't able to put it down while being so scared I didn't sleep well for days. So this is not a sweet little cozy - beware!

You can find out more about the author and his books here: Jussi Adler-Olsen.

Unfortunately, there is no direct link at the webpage for the English books, but if you search for Jussi Adler-Olsen and The keeper of lost causes, you'll have plenty of links to choose from.

For now, there are nine books in the series. I read number 9 just a couple of months ago - still one of my favorite series. And no. 9 is, in my opinion, one of the best in the series.
